Aurélien Rouquet

Professor NEOMA BS

Aurélien has been Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at NEOMA Business School since September 2008. Aurélien is Engineer of the Ecole Centrale de Lille, holder of a M.Sc. from Cranfield University and earned his PhD in Management Sciences in 2007 at the Research Centre for Transport and Logistics (CRET-LOP) at the Université Aix-Marseille. His research focuses on Supply Chain Management and orchestration, and consumer logistics. He has published this research over the years in journals such as Recherche et Application en Marketing, Revue Française de Gestion, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, Journal of Business Logistics. Aurélien is general secretary of the AIRL-SCM (International Association for Research on Logistics and Supply Chain Management), and member of the EurOMA Association (European Operations Management Association) and the CRET-LOG.

Birgit joined Neoma Business School as Professor in Organisational Behaviour in 2017, after 11 years in the UK, first as Reader at University of Portsmouth and then at Durham University, later as full Professor at Durham University. After receiving her PhD from the University of Leipzig, Germany in 2001, she worked at University of Leipzig before moving to the Netherlands, where she lived and worked from 2002 to 2006 at Tilburg University and later at University of Twente. Her research focus is leadership, particularly the follower side of leadership as well as the dark side of leadership. She has published on topics including Leader-Member Exchange, transformational leadership, implicit leadership theories, followers’ perception of leadership and, more recently, destructive leadership. Birgit has edited several special issues and four books. She was associate editor for European Journal of Work and Organizational psychology (till 2011) and British Journal of Management (till 2013) and is currently associate editor for Applied Psychology: An International Review. Birgit serves on several editorial boards. Birgit has supervised several PhD students, mainly on leadership.

Catherine KARYOTIS, PhD, HDR, has been Professor of Finance at NEOMA Business School since 1990 and Head of the Specialised Master in International Financial Analysis at the Reims campus. She primarily teaches Capital Market Microstructure and Bank Management. After five years of experience working at Euroclear, she taught in several business schools and universities where she was an instructor in Banking and Finance for others in continuing education and a seminar leader on Capital Markets. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the SFAF (French Society of Financial Analysts). Her main areas of research focus on Society, Economics, and Financial Relations. She continues to write books and contribute professional articles to specialised journals on a regular basis.

Florence is Assistant Professor at the Department of Strategy and Entrepreneurship in NEOMA Business School. She defended her doctoral thesis at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (Université libre de Bruxelles) in Belgium where she was also Teaching Assistant in the field of Strategy. She was a researcher in the Management, Strategy and Innovation Department at the Faculté de Sciences Economiques et de Gestion at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium. Her main fields of research are Strategy and International Strategy, Offshoring and Outsourcing, International Management, Expatriates and Inpatriates Management. The role of expatriates and inpatriates in offshoring operations is at the centre of Florence’s work. She completed research assignments at the IIESE Business School. She has presented her research at many conferences such as the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, and European Academy of Management.

Hong Zhao is an Assistant Professor of Finance at NEOMA Business School in France. Hong graduated from Arizona State University with a PhD in Finance in 2017. He has also earned a Master's Degree in Economics from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Mathematics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Hong’s research interests fall under the broad label of empirical corporate finance. His current papers investigate how different mechanisms affect CEO incentives and board governance.

Nathalie Janson earned a PhD in Economics at the Université Paris I-La Sorbonne in collaboration with the ESSEC PhD programme. Since 2001, she is an Associate Professor of Economics at NEOMA Busines School where she teaches mostly Microeconomics, Money and Banking and Banking Organisation and Regulation. She has lectured in many countries including France, the USA, Colombia, China and Italy. Her main research interests are banking regulation (especially Basel regulation) and monetary policy design. Some of her research work has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She is present in the media and writes regularly for the press on issues related to the Euro area (the Greek crisis, the question of the Brexit and the current tension with the new elected Italian government), central bank monetary policy decisions and regulation of the banking industry. She develops a recent interest in cryptocurrencies.

Nishani is an Assistant professor in the People and Organizations Department at NEOMA Business School. Nishani’s research explores how deeply embedded norms shape the experience of both individuals and organizations during times of transition and change. She uses qualitative and quantitative research methods in her work. Some examples of her research include studying former Paris subway drivers and how norms of responsibility internalized in this occupation shape their experience when they are promoted to managers. Other research focuses on understanding the role that broader societal norms, and the degree to which organizations internalize these norms, can play when organizations decide to change the types of organizational practices they use. Nishani focuses on the challenges of adopting less hierarchical practices as well as various compensation practices in the cultural context of France. Her research appears in journals such as Organization Science. She holds a doctorate from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree from Princeton University. Prior to joining academia, Nishani worked in finance trading fixed income products on Wall Street.

Oihab is a Full Professor of Information Systems Management and Purchasing Management at NEOMA Business School in Reims, France. He received a PhD in Management Sciences from the University Grenoble-Alpes and an Habilitation to Direct Research at the University of Nantes. His research topics are information systems management and purchasing management in general, and more specifically e-business, serious games, digital transformation, cloud computing, digital heritage, and open innovation. His research has been published in Journal of Business research, Journal of Global Information Management, Information Systems and Management, and other ranked international journals. He also likes publishing book chapters and case studies. Oihab his involved in several editorial boards and has participated in the organization of numerous research events. He held managerial positions within faculty and has participated to the creation and development of educational programs.

Riadh MANITA holds a PhD in Management Sciences and a diploma in Accounting Expertise. After working for nine years in audit and consulting firms, he redirected his career path toward teaching and research. He joined NEOMA BS in 2008 where he held several responsible positions such as Manager of the Audit Expertise Programme. In pedagogic matters, he was responsible for several courses including Accounting under IFRS, International Reporting, Financial Auditing and Group Taxation and Introduction to Financial Reporting. . He also taught in Executive Education courses. He is co-author of several books on Audits and the entire DSCG programme in Accounting/Auditing published with Nathan, Hermes, AFNOR and De Boeck. He has also published several press papers in " The conversation" and "Leaders". His research work focuses on Quality Measuring Issues in Audits. He has published many academic articles in several journals such as M@n@gement, Journal of Applied Accounting Research, Technological Forcecasting and Social Change, Annals of Operation research, Revue des sciences de gestion, Management & avenir, International Journal of Entrepreurship and Small Busoiness, International Journal of Business, Gestion 2000 and professional publications in journals such as Revue Française de Comptabilité and Profession Comptable. Valéry MICHAUX holds a PhD and a Habilitation to Supervise Research and she joined NEOMA Business School in 2004 after gaining sixteen years of experience, first in the private sector (cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries) and then in the parapublic sector (concerted local policy work relating to employment/health/disability). She received a Prix de thèse national FNEGE for her thesis on Collective Expertise in High-Performance Situations in the Field of Repatriation Assistance. Between 2004 and 2012, she coordinated several research projects focusing on the links between Emerging Strategies, Public Policy, Performance and Territory which resulted in two books: one on Wine Industry Clusters and the other on Concerted Local Politics. At the same time she has worked for a number of years on Transformations and Changes brought on by Technology. Between 2012 and 2015 Valéry was Director of Research at NEOMA Business School. From the beginning of her career, she has published recognized CNRS academic articles in the fields of Organisational Theory, Information Systems or Strategy. She is part of the scientific committees on several academic reviews and several French and International academic associations.

After a Master of French and Hispanic Studies at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) Vicky Millar turned to the commercial and administrative function that she exercised in France, Great Britain and Portugal. After retraining for professional integration, she worked for 5 years as a consultant for a specialized private practice in Rouen. Vicky then joined NEOMA Business School in 2009 where she held an international coordination position, before joining the “Talent & Career” department as a Career Consultant. Passionate about personal development, Vicky Millar today takes care of individual student counseling. She also manages the Spanish-speaking region for the development of internships and jobs in connection with the alumni network.
